Indian River Medical Center Foundation supports the capital needs and special projects of Indian River Medical Center through philanthropy. In so doing, we are contributing to the transformation of our fine community hospital into a community medical center of excellence.
As a not-for-profit hospital, Indian River Medical Center depends greatly on the philanthropic support of people like you to provide our community with the highest quality of healthcare available. Every gift made to the Indian River Medical Center Foundation, no matter how large or small, makes a difference in the lives of our patients and to the future of our medical center.
While we strive to encourage support for our medical center, we strive equally to be reliable stewards of our donors' financial commitments to us. We are sensitive to the challenges that our donors face in selecting the appropriate vehicles through which to make gifts to us and our staff is available to discuss the many means we have available.
We are happy to report that important new milestones were met this year. Thanks to you, we've flown past the 1500 mark for Eagle Society member households and now exceeded the $45 million milestone for our $50 million campaign currently underway to complete the IRMC master facility plan that has already funded the new ER and The Heart Center.
General surgeons, vascular surgeons and the heart team continually urge the Foundation to do everything in its power to secure the funds needed to move forward with the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and Recovery Room components of the campaign. We assure them regularly that this is the Foundation's highest priority and, as such, pass that request along to you, our supporters.
