The 21st Century Campaign: Building Exceptional Facilities for Exceptional Healthcare

For more than 75 years, Indian River Medical Center has provided the people of Indian River County with exceptional healthcare. Over the past several years, we have taken dramatic steps forward to ensure we are prepared to serve the healthcare needs of our community well into the future. A major facilities improvement plan is underway to expand the scope and enhance the quality of healthcare services in Indian River County. Projected to cost $105 million, the plan is being funded jointly by Indian River Medical Center and Indian River Medical Center Foundation.

Indian River Medical Center Foundation is in the midst of a $50 million capital campaign - The 21st Century Campaign for Indian River Medical Center - to support this landmark facilities expansion. The 21st Century Campaign is all about patient care. It is about your care. It is about ensuring that our community has the best possible emergency, diagnostic and surgical facilities available in the community hospital setting.

With the Indian River Medical Center commitment to investing in the highest caliber of patient care available, net revenues from patient services will never be sufficient to provide for new construction or the high cost of major medical and surgical equipment without the support of the community. Tax dollars, meanwhile, are restricted to providing essential services for the uninsured and those financially unable to pay for care received at Indian River Medical Center. It is philanthropy - and philanthropy alone - that can provide the margin of excellence needed to better serve you if, or when, you need us.
