Dr. Richard Milsten Patient Care Navigator Program
Dr. Richard "Dick" Milsten’s passion to improve the journey of cancer patients and their loved ones was recognized by his friends, Vaughn and Nancy Bryson. The physician's care and compassion, coupled with his leadership of Indian River Medical Center’s Cancer Care Services Task Force, led the Brysons to pay tribute by rallying friends and neighbors to contribute in Dr. Milsten's honor.
More than 115 friends, family and community members surprised the doctor at a gathering at the Bryson home to announce an ongoing effort to fund the Dr. Richard Milsten Patient Care Navigator Program. They have raised more than $1.6 million.
“Being honored in this way marks one of the most significant moments in my life,” said Dr. Milsten.
