Bringing you Broadway magic for 30 years
May Pops, the most lavish and anticipated outdoor party of the year will take place May 5 at the Indian River County Fairgrounds. Now in its 30th year, thanks to Presenting Sponsors Helen Post and The Plansoen Foundation, this time-honored tradition is a spectacular conclusion to Vero Beach's season of shows and events.
The IRMC Foundation proudly hosts the Brevard Symphony Orchestra for a late afternoon concert al fresco. Under the baton of Music Director Christopher Confessore, the orchestra consistently delights the audience with popular Broadway musical hits performed by renowned vocalists, Alli Mauzey and William Michals.
The VIP reception begins at 3:30, followed by the performance at 5:30. Reception guests enjoy delicious fare catered by Chef Joe Faria and his talented Quail Valley Club team, from appetizers and carving stations to amazing desserts, cocktails and wine.
Again this year, bow ties are expected in abundance to honor the late Dick Post. For the first 24 years of May Pops, Dick joined his wife Helen as presenting sponsor. Remembering his great passion for this event, a new May Pops tradition was born in 2014 with sponsors, guests, orchestra members, Chef Joe Faria and the Quail Valley catering staff sporting Dick’s signature bow tie.
Proceeds from May Pops will help to advance technology, enhance facilities, and elevate patient care at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital, benefitting all who need the hospital's services.
Please plan to join us for this magical event!
